Black Cat Cottage and Truffles
Ella and Harry are Black Cat Cottage's two truffle dogs who love to walk around this beautiful property, set on 20 peaceful acres in the Central Highlands. Black Cat Cottage features self-contained farm stay accommodation, with picturesque views of Creswick State Forest and a 1,000 tree truffiere. Visitors can participate in any of the regular hunts during truffle season and later enjoy a sample of truffle treats or enjoy cooking classes with local chefs.

Red Hill Truffles
Under the oak and hazelnut trees, deep in Red Hill’s rich volcanic soil black truffles lay in wait ready to be sniffed out by Thomas the dog at Red Hill Truffles. The historic property that houses Red Hill Truffles has been in the same family since 1864 and was the first farm to produce truffles on the Mornington Peninsula. Truffle hunts at Red Hill usually end at the pavilion where guests can enjoy tasting dishes by an open fire, or head to the award-winning Max’s restaurant for a multi-course truffle inspired lunch with matching wines from Red Hill Estate.

Overlooking the Southern Otways Coast, Wongarra Farm has one of the oldest truffieres in Victoria. It has been producing Perigord Black Truffles for over a decade and offers a range of events, including truffle hunts and gourmet tastings for all to enjoy. Warongarra Farm offers a diverse range of produce other than truffles, albeit on a small scale, including free-range pork, eggs, grass-fed beef and lamb, and heirloom vegetables. Accommodation in the homestead is also available for short-term holiday rental.
Yarra Valley Truffles
Victoria’s biggest producer of black truffle, Yarra Valley Truffle, is only one hour from Melbourne and gives visitors the chance to get up close and personal with the processes involved with truffle cultivation. Visitors can enjoy truffle dinners or a lunch and hunt, while surrounded by vineyards and the undulating hills of Victoria's Yarra Valley.

Truffle Melbourne's winter events program features more than 50 events on its program, including the largest truffle festival weekend outside of Europe. The 2018 free weekend festival is on 16 and 17 June this year at Queen Victoria Market with the remainder of the program, including regional truffle hunt updtes to be released shortly. For those who can’t make it to any events, Truffle Melbourne’s 260 Collins Street Pop Up will opens on 22 May this year.
