Honey Fingers aim to teach urban beekeeping with an emphasis on the connection between bees and humans. Beekeeping and Hive Building workshops and classes are currently held in groups of 20 on Zoom and will continue in Ripponlea when it’s safe to do so.

Riso Diner

Fitzroy’s favourite arts and craft market Rose Street Market has welcomed a new addition. Riso, an Italian diner focused on vegetarian cuisine exists as a café during the day while transforming to a degustation diner in the evenings. Currently, visitors can stop by to get a takeaway coffee and pastry, or for those with more of an appetite can order a Herbivorous Nights at Home pack delivered on Friday or Saturday evenings. 60 Rose Street, Fitzroy, VIC, 3065.

Moonah Restaurant

Embrace Victoria’s local produce and seafood offerings by paying a visit to Torquay’s newest fine-dining eatery. Seating only 12 at a time, Moonah offers an intimate and memorable experience with views of a surrounding billabong. Produce is sourced from chef Tobin Kent’s own property as well as farms in the Otway region while seafood comes directly from local fishermen. 95 Minya Lane, Connewarre, VIC, 3227.

Automatic Main Street:

Visitors to Cartlon’s Lygon street may have noticed a new addition in the past few weeks, Melbourne’s first community vending machine. Located next to Jimmy Watsons wine bar is a community vending machine dispensing goods from local establishments such as Readings Bookstore, La Mama Theatre, Heart Attack and Vine. Also known as Kevin, the vending machine aims to build a sense of community and support local businesses who are doing it tough during this difficult period. 333 Lygon St, Carlton, VIC, 3053.

Everleigh Bottling Co spritzed cocktails:

Everleigh got Melbourne through the winter with their single-serve cocktails, now they’re back at it to rescue Spring. The acclaimed cocktail bar is offering up two Spritzed Cocktails, an Americano, and the classic French 75 with delivery available to all of Australia. Each cocktail is made by hand and ready to be enjoyed straight out of the bottle, or from a glass if feeling fancy.

Fizzer, Moon Dog

Melbourne’s much-loved brewery Moon Dog is declaring this to be the Summer of Seltzer with its new line of Hard Seltzers. Four flavours that invoke the nostalgia of warm summers and childhood treats are sure to satisfy all during a spring picnic or day at the beach. Flavours have been devised by three times Australian Bartender of the Year Chris Hysted-Adams to provide drinkers with a refreshing alternative to beer on a sunny day.
